Iterate Control Limited is a spin out from the University of Sheffield’s Department of Automation and Control Systems Engineering. The founders are Professor Steve Daley, Professor David Owens, Stephen Oliver and Fusion IP plc.

Steve Daley
Prof Steve Daley is one of the co-inventors of the Iterative Control technologies used in iLC and is the responsible for product development at Iterate Control. He is Professor of Industrial Active Control at the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research, The University of Southampton and Director of the BAE SYSTEMS Centre for Research in Active Control.
David Owens
Prof David Owens is one of the co-inventors of the Iterative Control technologies used in iLC and is responsible for research at Iterate Control. He is an Emeritus Professor of Control and Systems Engineering at Sheffield University. He was Head of the Department of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering from 1999-2008 and Dean of Engineering from 2002-2006.
Stephen Oliver
Stephen is Chairman of the Board and acting Managing Director, responsible for commercial and operational aspects of Iterate Control.
He is a serial entrepreneur and has worked all his professional life in the software industry, principally in application development for the financial services industry, product marketing with Microsoft and technology transfer with Sheffield University.

Norman Thornton
Norman is responsible for developing commercial relationships with customers and partners of Iterate Control. He has worked most of his professional life in the testing industry with organisations such as Dartec, Kelsey Instruments, Losenhausen, Zwick Roel and HBM nCode, operating in most European countries and the USA.
Bing Chu
Bing assists in the research and software development function at Iterate Control. He graduated from Tsinghua University in China with his MEng in 2007 and later studied for his PhD at the University of Sheffield with Professor David Owens, specialising in Iterative Learning Control, Multidimensional Systems, Nonlinear Filtering, Repetitive Control and Spatially Distributed Dynamic Systems.
