You do not need to buy MATLAB to run iLC, however you will need to install MATLAB Compiler Runtime version 7.14 or higher if you don’t already have it installed. MATLAB Compiler Runtime is included with the Iterate iLC setup program.
Iterate iLC is developed using MATLAB, a mathematical computing programming language. Iterate Control is a licensed MATLAB developer and we have the right to include MCR in our products. The iLC package therefore includes all the software and a royalty-free license to use MCR.
However, if you wish to undertake additional processing of data files that iLC reads or writes using MATLAB, or if you wish to write your own programs using P-code or C-code modules from the iLC Development Kit (iDK), then you will need to have the full version of MATLAB installed and a license to use it on your machine.
